Mr Sam Baff
DofE Award Officer & Sports Officer
CI Baff joined the squadron as a cadet aged 14. In a varied and successful cadet career he achieved the rank of Cadet Sergeant. He also attained his Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Awards and successfully completed his B-Tec in Aviation Studies.
Having recently returned from the US, CI Baff has thrown himself into administrating the Squadron's Duke of Edinbrugh's Award training task. Also a keen sportsman, Sam had represented both Wing and Region at rugby and football and as such also fits perfectly into his role as Squadron Sports Officer. In the past he has held the position of Squadron Training Officer where he brought forward a successful and varied Training Programme with a wide range of new and traditional activites to the Squadrons training. He also hopes to start training within the Squadron's Small Arms Training Team as both a Coach Weapons Instructor and Range Manager.
Outside the ACO Sam is lucky enough to spend half of the year working in the USA as an Outdoors & Riflery Instructor. Whilst in the UK he enjoys playing rugby league and hopes in the future to work for a professional rugby club.
