Mr Hafeez Ahmed

Originally from London, CI Ahmed enjoyed a successful career with1083 (Uxbridge) Squadron. Upon leaving 1083 he had attained the rank of Cadet Flight Sergeant, held two flying scholarships, a navigation scholarship, his gliding wings, a bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and his 200 hour Millennium Volunteers Award.
His final role as a Cadet Flight Sergeant was inducting and the training of brand new recruits, making sure they knew about the variety of activities the Air Cadet Organisation has to offer. Hafeez’s dedication to his Squadron won him the Deputy Lord Lieutenant’s Award for Hillingdon Borough in 2003 and a nomination for the Dacre Sword in 2004.
Graduating with an engineering degree from Loughborough University, CI Ahmed managed to gain a post within the aviation industry as a Manufacturing Improvement Engineer for an international aerospace manufacturer, supplying the likes of Rolls Royce, Airbus and Boeing with components of engines and airframes.
Now back with the Corps, Hafeez uses his experience and energy to teach sports and Principles of Flight to the cadets of 2168. He enjoys learning how a different squadron operates and helping out wherever the cadets and staff need him. In his spare time he loves cycling and playing badminton.
